Here's a quick brief on how to choose flattering day eyeshadow colours for the various skin tones.
Fair skin tones - All light pastel colours. e.g. baby pink, lime green, lavender, sky blue, salmon peach. Underlay a liner of brown along your lashline before the eyeshadow to define the eyes first.
Medium skin tones - Good news! You can take any colour in mid range tones. The list of colours is endless here. Royal blue comes to live for fun personalities and Sienna brown fits calming characters. Warm colours like beige, brown, plum are staples and a recipe for smokey eyes.
Dark skin tones - Tanned skin tones included. Metallic bronze, copper, gold, chocolate, velvet purple, indigo, midnight blue.. Basically rich colours goes on lovely for this skin type. Standby black eyeshadow on hand to go deeper toned if needed.
Additional tip * - Contour the eyes using a taupe/terracota colour eyeshadow along the eye socket to give it more depth and dimension.
And lastly, a touch of glitter gives a twinkle to the eyes!
